I did, in fact, add makeup later and did not notice the product breaking up my concealer. The only reason it’s worth noting is that you may want to apply makeup and worry it’ll mess with your concealer. This is definitely for you! Otherwise, don't waste your money.I also noticed it left a faint white cast under my eye (take a look at the photo), which felt a bit chalky to the touch. So if your a gal with bags, and don't wear foundation. I do have the amount down to wear it won't leave the white residue, but it's just not powerful enough to withstand anything over it. Bummer :( I've been playing with it and reading reviews and this is a common complaint. I wear makeup so its its not for a girl who loves her coverup. Moisturizer, eye cream, foundation, concealer, it brings the puffiness all back. However, the magic undoes itself if you add anything on top of it. Similar results can be found w/egg whites! But egg whites crack! Put this product OVER your makeup and you'll like it much better. This product is about as good as it gets. Just take your cleaned off blush brush ( a puffy one), squeeze it tight and 'buff' off the noticeable edge. When you put your blush on you may find it reveals the gel. Nothing lifts your skin like this product except for an eye lift surgery. Careful applying hair spray because if one drop hits your under eye area or wherever you put it, the droplet will dissolve the gel. But I really cannot believe the directions say to put it UNDER your makeup! Unreal. I will tell you that this went on better during the spring and summer. After it sits for a few minutes it will tighten and thats it. After you're done with your foundation on your entire face, put a small dab on your finger smoothing it out it out staying under the eyes the best you can. You can add a bit of hypo-allergenic moisturizer, dab a very small amount and apply a little more foundation(you don't need to use a light colored concealer, this will lighten under the eyes too). I find this product works well with them. I use Loreal Lumi and Visible Lift in combination. Your foundation needs to be soft and manageable. Hopefully you're not using an "oily formula" which is drying. I've read the mixed reviews but the problem is that people are putting make up over it and that dissolves the firming gel. To prolong the effects of Instant FIRMx Eye, avoid water-based makeup. Once the product is completely dry, you are good to go! You can gently pat on makeup, such as eyeshadow, under-eye concealer or powder. If you notice any white residue, moisten a cotton swab (or your fingertip) and remove excess by gently patting the edges.Let the product dry for approximately 5 minutes while remaining expressionless.Using upward strokes, spread a thin layer of the gel onto the under-eye area, crow's feet, "11" lines between the brows, and beneath and above the brow bone (but not on the moveable eyelid). Using fingertips or a clean, dry makeup brush, pick up a tiny amount of the product and apply onto a completely dry eye area for best results.Shake the tube and squeeze out a pea-size amount on the top of the hand.If you prefer to use eye cream, allow the product to fully absorb and dry. Start by cleansing with a non-oily cleanser.
